A1-5 Determine Linear, Quadratic, or Exponential

The training is complete, the prototypes are certified, and the track is hot. It's time for the ultimate showdown! In this lesson, we conclude our Velocity Design Lab adventure with a head-to-head race between our three vehicle classes. Welcome to the final, epic quest of the unit!

Here is the Video for Class Lesson 1-4.  Please remember I am here during Battle Hour to help you if you are stuck on anything.  Get in and get help if you are stuck!

The Grand Challenge Prototype Identification
The race is over, and the results are clear! Now it's time to file your final performance review. This will certify your status as a Master Engineer.

(The performance data from all three prototypes has been mixed up! Your guild must correctly sort the reports.)
Decide if Each card is Linear, Quadratic , or Exponential.  Put situations together.  Each situation should have a Scenario, Equation, Table, & Graph.

You are 60 miles from home, and you are driving towards home at a constant speed of 5mileshr. D(t) tells how many miles are left to get home, and t is time.

Decrypting the Blueprint

Engineers, as you complete the Grand Challenge, pay attention to the blueprint fragments you unlock. The final secret of the Rocket Sled is hidden within!

Engineers, we've received three reports from the test track. Read the description of the vehicle's performance and identify which prototype it describes.  A prototype's performance data shows that the increase in its distance gets larger by the same amount every second. Which vehicle is this?

Engineers, we have the initial performance data from a new Rocket Sled test. Based on its multiplying pattern, you must predict its position at a future time. A Rocket Sled's test run begins. Its distance at seconds 0, 1, and 2 is  6 , 18, and  54 meters.  Based on this pattern, what will its distance be at 4 seconds?

CODE Progress: Exponential Growth Will Always Win!
Well Done Engineers!  EXPONENTIAL POWER! FINAL LEVEL CONQUERED!
